A pair of Lucchese Classics cowboy boots produced for J. Gilbert Footwear, featuring black leather construction and large silver skull designs surrounded by silver and gold wing-like embroidery on both the front and back of the shafts.
The skulls feature metallic silver leather inlays with black embroidered detailing. Additional construction details include leather-lined interiors, traditional pull straps, rounded toes, low Western heels, and leather outsoles.
Both boots feature zippers along the inside (instep-facing) portion of the shafts for easier entry and removal.
J. Gilbert Footwear was a specialty Western footwear retailer known for offering exclusive Lucchese Classics designs. The company commissioned boots manufactured by Lucchese that were not necessarily available through the brand’s standard retail collections. These boots carry both the Lucchese Classics Handmade branding and J. Gilbert identification.
