This is a particularly complete Lucchese Classics pair, combining black caiman vamps with full hand-tooled mahogany shafts and remaining in New Old Stock condition. The caiman gives the lower half a clean, formal look, while the shafts carry deeply cut scroll and leaf tooling against darker recessed areas for strong contrast and depth. Black caiman pull straps repeat the vamp material at the top and tie the two halves of the design together. With the original Lucchese box and boot bags still present, the pair retains much of its original factory presentation.
Why We Love Them
There are two distinct kinds of craftsmanship working together here: the natural geometry of the caiman and the hand-tooled leather above it. The fact that such an elaborate pair remains unworn, with its box and bags, makes the presentation especially strong.
