A handsome pair of 1883 by Lucchese cowboy boots in natural tan python with matching tan leather shafts — monochromatic, warm, and unmistakably Lucchese in their construction and finishing. The tone-on-tone palette lets the python texture do all the talking, and it speaks volumes.
The full python vamps are done in a natural tan/burnished coloration with the hide’s characteristic large, overlapping scales clearly visible from toe to heel counter. This is a back-cut python, meaning the larger belly scales run down the center of the vamp with smaller dorsal scales wrapping the sides — creating a graduated texture that transitions beautifully from the broad, smooth center scales to the tighter, more textured side scales. The natural tan coloration shows warm honey tones with subtle darker brown undertones at the scale edges, giving the vamps depth and dimension without any artificial dye. The python wraps generously from the snip toe up over the instep and around the heel counter for full exotic coverage.

These boots are in good condition with honest wear. The tan leather shafts show creasing and the kind of warm patina that develops naturally with wear. The scrollwork stitching is fully intact. The leather soles show moderate to heavy wear and the stacked heels with rubber caps show honest use. A solid pair with the python in good overall shape and the Lucchese construction holding up as it should.
