The Boots
Yellow Rose of Texas energy in boot form. These vintage Champion Boot Co. cowgirl boots are a riot of color — vivid blue shafts, bold yellow rose inlays, bright green stems and leaves, all set against glossy black leather vamps. The color combination is fearless, joyful, and completely unforgettable.
The shafts are crafted from bright blue leather and feature large yellow leather rose inlays on all four sides — front, back, inner, and outer — each with stitched petal detail and green leather stems with spiky leaves reaching upward. The roses are full-bloom, cheerful, and prominent. A dramatic scalloped black leather overlay frames the top of the blue panels, trimmed with green stitching and gold piping that ties the entire color palette together.
The black leather vamps feature elaborate green-and-yellow vine stitching that swirls from the pointed toe back through the ankle — a flowing, organic pattern that mirrors the rose stems above. At the heel counter, a bold green zigzag stitch pattern adds a graphic Southwestern accent. The pointed snip toe and stacked Western heel complete the classic cowgirl silhouette.
Gold/yellow piping runs along the front and back seams, adding a final pop of brightness to an already eye-catching design.
Champion Boot Co.
Champion Boot Co. was a quality bootmaker that produced bold, colorful Western footwear during the height of the 1980s cowboy boot boom. Their boots were known for vivid multi-color inlay work and a willingness to use the full spectrum of dyed leathers — blue, yellow, green, red — in combinations that made their boots stand out in any lineup. While not as widely known as some of the major Texas brands, Champion boots were well-constructed with leather soles, full leather linings, and quality inlay work that has held up beautifully over the decades.
Condition
These boots have been worn and loved. The blue leather shafts show creasing and some surface wear. The black leather vamps show significant creasing and natural softening. All yellow rose and green leaf inlays remain securely attached and vibrant. The leather soles show heavy wear. The stacked heels show wear and scuffing. The pointed toes show minor scuffing and wear at the tips. The gold piping is intact throughout. These are boots with serious character — broken in, softened up, and ready for more adventures.
