The Boots
Snakeskin from toe to top. These vintage Dan Post cowgirl boots are wrapped in genuine python — not just the vamps, but the entire boot, shaft and all — showcasing the natural beauty of this iconic exotic leather in its full glory. The result is a tall, elegant boot that is pure exotic luxury from every angle.
The python displays a stunning natural pattern: warm tan and cream base tones interrupted by bold dark brown and black diamond-band markings that run in the classic serpentine pattern down the length of the boot. The large, well-defined scales catch the light with a beautiful natural sheen — glossy, dimensional, and impossible to replicate with any other material. The pattern flows seamlessly from the pointed toe, up over the vamp, and all the way up the tall shafts, with the scales running vertically to elongate the silhouette and create a graceful, leg-lengthening line.

These boots are in very good vintage condition. The python skin is in lovely shape — the scales are tight, glossy, and intact throughout both the vamps and the tall shafts, with the natural pattern beautifully preserved and no significant lifting or loss. The cream and tan tones remain warm and the dark markings crisp. The leather soles show honest wear consistent with use but remain solid (one small area of sole edge wear is visible). The stacked heels are solid with intact heel caps. The dark brown pull straps are intact. The interior lining is clean. Overall, these present beautifully and have been well cared for.
