The Boots
A romantic, feminine pair of vintage Dan Post cowgirl boots in warm honey/caramel leather with gorgeous dark brown heart-and-vine cutwork inlays climbing all four sides. The design is organic and flowing — a winding vine with leaves and small heart-shaped cutouts that reveal the dark brown leather beneath, wrapping from the vamp up through the shaft on the front, back, and both sides. At the collar, a bold arrow/diamond inlay in matching dark brown frames the V-notch opening. It’s a love letter rendered in leather.
The silhouette is tall and flattering: a sharp snip toe on a tall stacked fashion heel (approximately 3 inches) that gives these real presence and leg-lengthening height. The warm two-tone palette — honey over chocolate — is versatile and timeless, pairing beautifully with denim, dresses, or skirts. Pull straps at the collar and a leather lining complete the build.
Condition
These boots are in good vintage condition with honest wear. The honey/caramel leather is supple and broken in with a warm patina; there is creasing across the instep and light scuffing at the toes consistent with use (see photos). The dark brown heart-and-vine cutwork inlays are all intact and secure throughout — no lifting, no separation — and the design reads crisply from every angle. As shown in the sole photos, the leather soles display moderate wear from use and the stacked heels show honest wear with rubber heel caps intact. Overall a well-cared-for pair with plenty of life left and all the design elements that make these special beautifully preserved.
