The Boots
A stunning pair of vintage Justin python cowboy boots in an incredibly rare men’s 14 A (narrow) — a size that almost never surfaces in the secondary exotic market. The natural python vamps are gorgeous: a warm golden-honey base with bold dark brown diamond-band markings that wrap from the sharp snip toe up over the instep and all the way around the heel counter, covering the entire lower boot in premium exotic. The large, glossy scales catch the light beautifully, and the natural pattern displays the full range of python’s organic beauty.
Above the python, the tall dark chocolate leather shafts are decorated with dramatic gold eagle-wing and lightning-bolt stitchwork — bold, angular patterns that radiate across the front, back, and sides with real visual energy. The two-tone contrast between the warm golden python and the dark brown shafts is classic and striking. The pointed snip toe, stacked Western heel, and pull straps at the collar complete the silhouette.
Inside, the buttercup leather lining carries the vintage “Justin / Made in U.S.A. / Comb. Last / Style P5812 / Size 14 A / Registered No. P5812” stamp in the classic Justin script logo — confirming the pedigree and the extraordinary size.
The Size — Why 14 A Matters
A men’s 14 A is one of the rarest sizes in the entire cowboy boot market — large in length but narrow in width. Tall, slim-footed men know the frustration of never finding quality boots (let alone exotics) in their size. Most vintage boots top out at 12 or 13, and a narrow A width in a 14 is virtually unheard of. This is a genuine unicorn find for the right buyer.
Condition
These boots are in very good vintage condition — impressively well-preserved for their age. The natural python vamps are intact with scales tight throughout, the glossy finish preserved, and the diamond-band pattern beautifully defined; there is only light, honest wear at the toes and no significant scale lifting or damage (see close-up photos). The dark chocolate leather shafts are supple with the gold stitchwork fully intact and crisp — only light creasing consistent with gentle use. As shown in the sole photos, the leather soles display light-to-moderate wear and the rubber heel caps are intact. The buttercup interior lining is clean. Overall an exceptionally well-cared-for pair — one of the cleanest vintage python boots we’ve offered.
Note: One shaft has “IMPERFECT” stamped on the interior lining (visible in photos). This was a factory designation — likely a minor cosmetic irregularity at the time of production that does not affect the boot’s construction, fit, or wearability. The boots present beautifully with no visible imperfection from the outside.
