The Boots
A classic pair of vintage Justin cowboy boots in natural python — the quintessential exotic that never goes out of style. The python vamps display the bold, unmistakable golden-tan base with dark brown/black diamond-band markings that python is famous for: large, glossy scales that catch the light and shift in tone from warm honey to deep amber as the pattern wraps from the pointed snip toe up over the instep and all the way around the heel counter. Full, generous python coverage — this isn’t a timid strip of snakeskin; it’s the real thing, wrapping the entire lower boot.
Above the python, the tall black leather shafts are decorated with dramatic gold/cream lightning-bolt and leaf stitchwork — angular, jagged patterns that radiate across the front, back, and sides with serious visual energy. The cream piping at the collar and the cream pull straps tie the palette together. The contrast between the warm natural python and the dark shafts with gold stitching is a signature Justin look — bold but classic, striking but versatile.
The pointed snip toe, stacked Western heel, and tall shaft height give these real presence and a flattering silhouette.
Justin — The Standard of the West
Justin has been building cowboy boots in Fort Worth, Texas since 1879 — nearly a century and a half of heritage that makes them one of the most trusted names in Western footwear. Their python boots have been a staple of the exotic lineup for decades, and the natural-python-with-black-shaft combination is one of their most iconic and enduring designs. When someone says “a pair of Justins,” this is what they picture.
Condition
These boots are in good vintage condition with honest wear that tells a story. The natural python vamps are intact with scales tight and the diamond-band pattern well-defined and glossy throughout; there is some minor scale edge lifting at the very toe tips (see close-up photos) and honest wear/scuffing at the toes consistent with use. The black leather shafts are supple and broken in with creasing and the gold/cream stitchwork fully intact and crisp. As shown in the sole photos, the leather soles display moderate-to-heavy wear from use and the rubber heel caps show honest wear. The buttercup interior lining is clean. Overall a structurally sound pair with the python in solid shape — supple, glossy, and ready for more years of wear.
