A commanding pair of vintage Justin White Label cowboy boots in genuine pre-ban chocolate brown sea turtle leather with dramatic black shafts and bold gold starburst stitching. The two-tone contrast between the warm brown exotic vamps and the dark shafts gives these boots a presence that’s impossible to miss.
The full sea turtle vamps display the hide’s signature large, raised scutes in a rich chocolate brown with a glossy, lacquered finish. The scales are thick, dimensional, and heavily textured with deep web-like veining between each tile — the unmistakable hallmark of genuine sea turtle leather. The turtle wraps generously from the pointed toe up over the instep and around the heel counter, providing full exotic coverage across the entire lower boot. The scales transition from a lighter cognac-brown at the toe to a deeper chocolate at the heel counter, giving the vamps beautiful natural depth and variation.
The black leather shafts carry elaborate starburst and lightning-bolt stitchwork in gold and cream thread — sharp, angular patterns that radiate outward from central star motifs on all four panels. Condition
These boots are in good vintage condition with honest wear. The chocolate brown sea turtle vamps are glossy and intact with all raised scutes well-defined and securely attached throughout. There is natural creasing across the instep and wear at the toe tips consistent with use — the scales remain tight and the web-like veining is well-defined. The black leather shafts are supple with the gold starburst stitchwork fully intact and crisp on all panels. The sea turtle pull tab accents are intact. The leather soles show moderate wear and the black stacked heels with rubber caps remain solid and level. A well-maintained pair with the exotic leather in good shape and plenty of life remaining.
