This vintage Montana pair is built around a particularly warm honey-toned example of pre-ban sea turtle. The exotic vamps carry the leather’s unmistakable raised, irregular texture from the pointed toes through the insteps and heel counters, while matching honey leather shafts keep the overall palette cohesive. Multi-color feather and floral stitching in red, blue, green and gold gives the upper half considerably more movement without taking attention away from the sea turtle below. They have honest wear, but the combination of color, texture and decorative stitching still reads exceptionally well.

The monochromatic honey leather gives this pair a different character from darker pre-ban sea turtle boots, and the colorful shaft stitching adds just enough contrast. The natural texture of the vamps remains the centerpiece rather than being overwhelmed by the decoration above.

Good vintage condition with honest wear throughout. Sea turtle vamps show wear at the toe tips, natural aging and creasing at the insteps, while the raised leather texture remains intact across the majority of the vamps and heel counters. Shafts show creasing consistent with use and the multi-color stitching remains intact and vibrant. Leather soles show moderate to heavy wear and the heels show normal use.
