The Boots
A warm, cohesive pair of vintage Nocona cowboy boots in genuine pre-ban honey sea turtle leather. The full sea turtle vamps display the hide’s unmistakable large, raised scutes in a rich honey-to-cognac coloration — glossy, thick, and heavily dimensional with deep veining between each scale. The turtle leather wraps generously from the pointed toe up over the instep and around the heel counter, providing full exotic coverage across the entire lower boot. The scales are large and well-defined with a warm amber tone that deepens toward the heel and lightens toward the toe, giving the vamps beautiful natural color variation.
The matching honey leather shafts carry bold lightning-bolt and feather stitchwork in tonal gold thread — sharp, angular zigzag patterns radiating from central spine lines on all four panels with flowing leaf accents between them. The tonal stitching against the honey leather creates a subtle, textured effect that complements the sea turtle vamps without competing with them.
